I have driven through more thin-air mountain towns than a man should reasonably be asked to, and I can tell you with the cold certainty of a man who has tasted real food and fake food in equal measure that the best Louisiana-style cooking within 250 miles of this particular stretch of Colorado is happening right now at the Hummingbird Club in Evergreen.

This place is an absolute gem! I'm so impressed with what they've done with the food and the vibe. There are so many details that make this cozy spot in the mountains feel just like a restaurant in the Crescent City, right down to the gas lamps outside and the live music on the patio. Everything we tried was seriously delicious and the cocktails and mocktails are top notch.

This place shows the effort that has gone into it's creation. So unique- Jewish Creole, and having been there 3 times in the past month, ( brunch, lunch, and dinner) I think it s good addition to our community, because not only is the food good and service attentive, they also have a calendar of entertainment.

Loved the live music and the patio, with a play area for kiddos too. Food was fresh and innovative. Delicious bites.
